Starting in pole position, the Dutchman closed the door at the start of the race at Lando Norris, who had to leave the track and fell back in sixth row, which benefited Oscar Piastri. Despite good resistance, Max Verstappen could not contain the Australian very long, who took the lead in the 14th round to fly to victory.
Shortly after, Lando Norris took his revenge on Dutch after a very harsh duel, thus ensuring a new double for McLaren, who escapes even more in the classification of manufacturers. Thai people Alex Albon (Williams) took an unexpected fifth place, ahead of the Italian prodigy Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) and the two Ferrari of the Monegasque Charles Leclerc and the British Lewis Hamilton.
After being virtually 10th during some passages from the last racing laps, the Frenchman Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls) finally finished 11th and given the last point at stake for less than two tenths because Yuki Tsunoda was received by five seconds of penalty for speeding in the lane of the stands. The other two French people, Esteban Ocon (Haas) and Pierre Gasly (Alpine), took the 12th and 13th places respectively after a race without great surprises.
