After the details on my stable 2.0 last week, Codemasters and EA speak authenticity for F1 25 Today, by evoking not only the expected annual developments, but also new gameplay features and graphic improvements.
This year, Codemasters strengthens the modeling of several routes thanks to LIDAR (light Detection and Ranging) technology which is a precise measurement technique exploiting the properties of light. Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, but also Suzuka and Imola were thus fully digitized during the real weekends of Grand Prix in order to offer players an authentic restitution of these legendary circuits which now reflect each bump, elevation, asperity and any other detail such as safety barriers or areas reserved for the spectator. It’s like we were there!
First for the F1 license: the provision of some reverse world routes whether in the Grand Prix worlds, against the clock or multi, but also in Carrirère (from the second season). This concerns the legendary Silverstone, as well as Zandvoort and the Red Bull Ring.
The Delivery publisher also experiences a significant evolution with a new 100 % customizable vinyl editor, with the possibility of fully touching up the stickers from sponsors by resizing them, moving and swivel as well as new fonts and colors for drivers’ numbers. Added to this are the titles deliveries which offer even more designs without forgetting those inspired by officially modular cars once again. So many new tools to give your stable and your car a home design from scratch.
A new mode makes its entry into content that promises to be gigantic. Named “Invitations”, it allows players to join special multiplayer competitions and events, to join/invite online friends to fulfill objectives together and thus obtain exclusive rewards. The multi part highlights, through the pilot of the day, exploits such as the most precise pilot, the greatest number of overtaking, etc. By adding some awards there too. What boost the competitive online aspect, so that our team stands out and takes the position pole.

Codemasters presents visual improvements with sharper graphics, and more lively and realistic environments, faithful vegetation with in particular a modeling of the advanced flora without forgetting high quality lighting effects and path tracing, using the Ego Engine engine to these last entrenchments. NVDIA Audio2face technology strengthens the quality of facial animations during kinematics throughout the experience. F1 24 was already solid in terms of photorealism and immersion, F1 25 intends to go further.
Finally, the audio part also has the right with its additions with many more racing dialogues from the real world between the pilot and his team for example with more than double vocal replicas and possible radios sequences vis-à-vis opus 2024.
F1 25 is still expected on May 30 (27 with the emblematic edition) on PC and latest generation consoles.
