Piazza Indipendenza and related gardens invaded by waste, yesterday afternoon, after the passage of the fans of Betis Seville, directed to the stadium for the Conference League semifinal with Fiorentina, at the end left the competition after drawing 2-2.
The square is usually the place of concentration of the away fans for the francs games and, once again, it was left in pitiful conditions, invaded by glass and waste bottles, with indignation not recently of the residents of the area – who for an afternoon were in fact seized the garden – and on social networks.
There were about 1,300 supporters from Spain to support Betis, with imposing security measures after the clashes in the first leg on Iberian land.
Law enforcement officers unfolded in various parts of the city, then around 6 pm the fans were raised on public transport buses and brought to the stadium, while the Alia operators were mobilized for cleaning: everything – law enforcement, bus and cleaning – paid by taxpayers.
