The Council of Arts and Letters of Quebec (CALQ), in collaboration with Culture Center-du-Québec, launches a call for candidates for the CALQ Prize-artist of the year in Center-du-Québec. The files must be submitted to the CALQ no later than June 27.
Assorted by $ 10,000, the CALQ price – artist of the year aims to recognize an artist or a writer who stands out for his career and recent achievements.
In order to promote the artistic creation of the region and promote the influence of recipients, the cultural factory will carry out a video portrait during the year following the award ceremony (with exceptions 1).
The creators, writer and performers who have more than three years of professional artistic practice are eligible.

The prize will be awarded during the annual Galart ceremony which will take place on Thursday, November 20, at the Maison de la Culture de l’Avenir next Thursday.
