In charge of a new issue of his program We walk on our heads On Europe 1, Cyril Hanouna did not mince his words concerning Léa Salamé. Monday May 5, 2025, he returned to a sequence of the talk show What an era! Broadcast two days earlier on France 2, not hesitating to criticize the attitude of the host in the face of a controversial joke of Paul de Saint Sernin addressed to Louis Sarkozy.
A sequence that does not pass
On Saturday May 3, Léa Salamé received in What an era! Louis Sarkozy, the son of the former President of the Republic. During the show, the humorist Paul de Saint Sernin caused a certain discomfort by launching, under the guise of humor: “Louis, you know that your father, is he a thief? That’s it, that’s all.” A sentence that immediately made the host react: “You have the right to smile”she slipped to her guest. To which the latter calmly retorted: “But not the obligation.”
This sequence quickly went around social networks. And this Monday, Cyril Hanouna wanted to give his opinion on this humorous outing and the way it was managed on the air.
“Louis Sarkozy, he is a friend and Nicolas Sarkozy too so I was necessarily a little shocked and upset by this sequence. Paul de Saint Sernin, I know him well, he is not a mean boy. Knowing him a little, because he was on Canal+ and I met him often, I am sure he sent a word to Louis Sarkozy”explained the host.

But it was especially the attitude of Léa Salamé who annoyed Hanouna. He does not question his skills, but believes that she is still lacking in experience in the management of tense moments.
“I’m going to tell you what bothers me, and this is where we see that Léa Salamé she is sympathetic but she is still in Ligue 1 she is not yet in the Champions League. A Michel Drucker he would have coated the thing, he would have defused. He would not have taken out this valve: ‘You have the right to smile’.
