Tuesday, May 6, 2025, he responds, at a distance, from an old flight file in a meeting in Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne). Faced with him, in the box of the criminal court, Dylan B., 23, standing. This is not his first appearance here.
Four days earlier, it was already there – for a series of robbery flights. A few minutes earlier, he received a six -month suspended sentence in another case of violence. He continues files and convictions.
No dismissal for expertise
In defense, Me Amélie Villageon tries to slow down the legal machine. She asks that a psychiatric expert examines her client. Bernardo affects AAH (allocation to disabled adults), lives in extreme precariousness. “He has never honored his convocation to expertise,” said Vice-Procureure Magali Bordes. The president, Emmanuelle Yvert, decides to go to the bottom.
-Back in December 2023. One moonless night, a private garden, two shadows, two bikes, toolboxes. The police surprise them in the act of theft. “What would you hope to do with these bikes?” Asks the judge. Dylan replies in a tired voice: “We needed money. To eat. Buy tobacco. Bernardo lived at my place, we had nothing.”
One left school in 4e. The other accumulates judgments. Bernardo, steep face camera, says he cannot work. Since when has he held? “Since February 13,” he said, dry. Nothing on the facts. He knows that the essential is elsewhere.
In the background, another case crushes him: That of the murder of Wadie Mchabrag, A kidnapped Montalbanais then found dead in a field in Lafrançaise, on January 20, 2025. Bernardo is one of the suspects. The rest becomes almost decor.
“He can neither read nor write”
The vice-procurer Magali Bordes requires 130 hours of work of general interest against Dylan whose locker was a virgin at the time of the facts and 6 months in prison against Bernardo, already sentenced three times since 2022.
Highing the great precariousness of his client who does not know how to “read nor write”, Me Villageon requests the indulgence of the court. It is heard, her client received 6 months but accompanied by a probationary and Dylan of 6 months suspended.
