Mercury should reach 30 ° C for the first time of the year in Montreal next week while several other regions will also be able to benefit from temperatures above seasonal norms.
After a few rainy days, the sun will be back with a hot air front on Sunday in the metropolis and throughout the south of the province.
It is however Tuesday that the heat will reach its climax with a maximum of 30 ° C in Montreal with sunny weather, depending on what environment Canada indicates on its website.
On May 14, Mercury will climb up to 28 ° C in Quebec and Saguenay.
On the side of Sherbrooke, a maximum of 29 ° C is expected Tuesday and Wednesday in the company of alternating sun and clouds.
“Wednesday, it is not impossible that we reach 30 ° C in Montreal and throughout the Outaouais valley,” said the meteorologist for Environment Canada, Éric Tomlinson.
-Temperatures of at least 5 ° C above seasonal normal are therefore expected for every day next week, before returning to temperatures closer to the 18 to 20 ° C observed at this time of the year.
“We will have a series of consecutive days with maximums above 25 ° C,” he added.
The humidx factor should however be minimal.
“We are not expecting felt temperatures of 35 for example,” said the meteorologist.
Lovers of spring freshness should also enjoy a respite in the evening and during the night because the mercury will fall around 15 ° C.
If these forecasts materialize, it would be a hasty date to reach 30 ° C for the first time of the year in Montreal, but which remains far from the April 27 record set in 1990.
