A 55-year-old man was caught up in a motorist who fled overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in the Saint-Roch district, in the district of Cité-Limoilou.
The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) received a call around 3 a.m. about a road accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian on rue du Roi, near rue du Pont.
The police dispatched on the spot located the victim who was unconscious and presented significant injuries.

After receiving first aid, the fifties were transported by paramedics in the hospital center, where we fear for his life.
-“The driver of the vehicle fled before the arrival of emergency stakeholders,” the SPVQ said in a statement.

The scene was protected for investigators and technicians of the judicial identification unit who had to move to the scene to try to shed light on this accident.
In the meantime, the rue du Roi is closed to traffic between rue de la Chapelle and rue du Pont, it was added.
