All afternoon yesterday afternoon, one of Michael McLeod’s lawyers questioned several elements of the young woman’s testimony, notably suggesting that she would have lied.
“I suggest that one of the reasons you cry [en quittant la chambre]is that you feel guilty of having deceived your boyfriend, ”said David Humphrey.
“One way to avoid a break is to invent a story that it was not your fault,” he said, which was denied by the alleged victim.
Real fear?
He also seemed to wonder about the veracity of the fright that the victim said he had lived in the hotel room.
“During the whole time you were in the room, you felt a constant and imminent fear of sexual and physical violence?” He asked with an unconvinced tone, citing a previous statement from the young woman.
“Yes, it’s true. I didn’t know what they were capable of […]I did not know these men, ”she justified.
“Have their actions caused terror and fear in your mind?” he replied, the dubitative air.
-“Yes, really,” replied Em unequivocal

Two days after the evening during which the events would have taken place, McLeod wrote several messages to the alleged victim, insisting so that she will retract to the police “to put an end to all that”, while the mother of the latter had contacted the authorities.
By messages, EM seemed to be nodded at her request, but she testified that it was especially for him to “leave it alone”.
But McLeod’s lawyer rather suggested to her that she was “happy” that the young man wrote to her and that she was even “friendly” with him.
“You could have ignored it, you could have blocked it,” he said.
He also seemed to blame him for his alcohol consumption during the alleged evening of the drama.
“In the past, you have vomited with this number of consumptions. Why not that evening? ” questioned Me Humphrey.
“I was just not able. […] It was not normal, ”she replied.
