An ex-HOCKEUR from the LHJMQ will purge his sentence of two years less one behind bars for the rape of a teenager in Drummondville.

Noah-lee Jetté Corson was sentenced to 24 months of incarceration by Dunnigan at the Drummondville courthouse.

The 27 -year -old Sherbrookois who hoped to serve his sentence at home rather took the way to the prison on Monday morning. Before going into detention, he entwined his mother at length in the courtroom.

Recall that at the end of his , the ex-hockeyman had been guilty of sexual assault with the participation of third parties. Corson did not take reasonable measures to ensure the age of the victim in the fall of 2016.

Two of his minor friends had already been sentenced to probation with follow -up. However, they cannot be appointed since they were under 18 at the time of the crime.

The victim was at the time aged 15. She only knew one of the minor hockey players, since she had attended her a few months before.

The age of the adolescent was thus at the heart of the debate, since she could not consent to the sexual act in a group, according to the law. Corson was for his part aged 18 at the time of the facts and he played for the Voltigeurs in the Junior Maritimes Quebec Hockey .

The crown demanded 30 months’ imprisonment.
