The recruit of San Jose Sharks, Macklin Celebrini, is committed to playing for Canada during the next IIHF 2025 world championships which will take place in May on RDS.
Celebrini, the first choice in total of the NHL selection session in 2024, already represented his country at the junior world championships in 2024, recording four goals and four passes for eight points in five games, before losing in the quarter -finals against the Czeching in the quarterfinals.
This season, the 18 -year -old has scored the greatest number of goals among all first -year players, with 25, and he is ahead of the Lane Hutson sensation of the two -point Canadian from the recruits.
-After finishing first in group A last season with a 5-2-0-0 file, Canada lost to the semi-finals against Switzerland in shooting before losing again against Sweden in the match for third place.
Canada has won gold 28 times. His last victory dates back to 2023, when the Canadians beat the Germans 5 to 2 in the match for the gold medal.
This year, the IIHF world championships will take place from May 9 to 25 and will be organized jointly by Sweden and Denmark.
