Trân Hông Hà added that this victory had destroyed fascism, weakened colonialism and inaugurated a new era, encouraging the oppressed peoples to fight for their independence, their freedom and their happiness. The great victory deeply inspired the Vietnamese people, guided by the Communist Party and President Ho Chi Minh, to lead the August 1945 revolution and to found the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945. Vietnam remembers with pride of its soldiers who fought with courage and heroism, to the ultimate sacrifice, alongside the Great Patriotic War during the Great Patriotic War, The most ferocious days of the winter of 1941.
-“We always remember with respect for the great help of the state and people of the former Soviet Union and Russia in our resistance wars to defend the fatherland and to build and develop our country. We deeply appreciate the contributions of soldiers and experts from the former Soviet Union and Russia who fought, sacrificed their blood and their youth for the independence and the territorial integrity of Vietnam”said Deputy Prime Minister.
He also said that Vietnam has always valued international solidarity, followed a foreign policy of peace and neutrality, and remained a reliable friend and partner for all countries, especially his traditional friends like the former Soviet Union and Russia.
Vietnam attaches particular importance to its relations of cooperation with Russia, considering them as a common and invaluable good for the two countries and the two Vietnamese and Russian peoples. On this basis, the global strategic partnership with Russia will be increasingly consolidated and developed in many key areas of the economy: trade, defense, security, energy, education, training, science, technology, tourism and human exchanges.
In particular, the official visit to Russia of the Secretary General of the Party, Tô Lâm, in this historic month of May, and its participation in the commemorations of 80e Anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, will strengthen political confidence and open new ways to raise traditional friendship and global strategic partnership Vietnam-Russia to new heights.
“It is an important moment to honor our historical achievements, seize current opportunities and work together for a bright future for our two peoples”concluded the Deputy Prime Minister.
