An investigation for attempted murder and extortion in an organized gang was opened following the violent armed grip of which was a young couple in an Airbnb rental in Montpellier, on the night of Thursday, May 2. Around 3 a.m., three individuals smashed the accommodation door located on the Ganges route, before entering and fire on the bathroom door where the victims, shocked but unharmed, had taken refuge.
Threatening
The latter are a 23-year-old Montpellier and an 18-year-old young woman, according to information from the Dauphiné Libéré confirmed by the National Police, of Romans-sur-Isère, in Drôme. She would have received a threatening snapchat message, shortly before the facts.
Suspects from the Grenoble region
Four individuals, from the Grenoble region, were arrested an hour after the assault on rue des Acacias, in the same district of the Ganges road, near a car whose report had been communicated to the police. Two of them are 19 years old, the other two aged 21 and 33. At the end of their police custody, they were referred to the prosecution, then placed in pre -trial detention, while a judicial information was opened.
The investigators of the local judicial police service (SLPJ) of Montpellier now seek to determine the possible involvement of other protagonists in these serious facts of violence, in particular that of a sponsor who could be the instigator. It is also a question of clarifying the pattern.
