The governor of California published a video on Monday on the social network X to invite Canadians to visit his democratic state at the dawn of the holiday period.

Well aware that several Canadian travelers intended to sulk the United States of Donald Trump because of the trade war, Gavin Newsom wanted to remind his Canadian friends that they are welcome in his bastion.
“We are launching an international campaign to welcome and encourage Canadians to visit the Golden State“He wrote to accompany his video.
In his speech, the one who was also mayor of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011 mentioned that relations between the United States and Canada had changed a lot in the last months referring to customs prices and the unpredictability of the American president.
-He also recalls that many of the north neighbors used to travel south while two million Canadians visited California in 2024.
“Visit California!” Exclaimed the 57 -year -old man at the end of his short promotion video.
A separate state
This is not the first time that Gavin Newsom has been trying to isolate California of decisions that have been made in Washington.
About ten days ago, the Governor had asked his long -standing business partners to exempt products from California from any retaliatory measure.
