A group representative General Motors, Ford and Stellantis strongly criticized the trade agreement announced by President Donald Trump with the Kingdom, saying that he would harm the American automotive sector.

Under the terms of this agreement, British car manufacturers will benefit from a quota of 100,000 cars per year that can be exported to the United States at a customs duties of 10 %. This figure almost corresponds to the total of British exports year, while the rate applied to Mexico, Canada and most other countries amounts to 25 %.
