
The French franchise federation (FFF) is embarking on audiovisual with web series “and why not me?”, To convince entrepreneurs to opt for the franchise system. With a first episode published on the social networks of the Federation this Wednesday, April 16, the tone aims to be shifted and light to demystify the steps related to the creation of a franchise. Six other two -minute episodes each will be published monthly until next October.
In addition to this web series, the FFF will publish detailed educational content on its website for each theme addressed in episodes. The objective is to provide future entrepreneurs with in -depth practical resources.
In its report on the year 2024, the French franchise federation reports 2,089 franchise networks (+3% compared to 2023), 90,588 franchise points of sale (-1.4% 2023).
In the year 2024, the car service sectors (+30.6% of turnover), building (+14.4% of turnover) and fast food (+16.6% of turnover) experienced the strongest dynamics.
-Fast food, food, various businesses (IT equipment and telecommunications, books, stationery, sports articles, toys, pharmaceuticals, perfumery and beauty products, plants, pets, food, used goods …) were particularly promising for the franchise. As well as Home equipment and personal equipment. On the other hand, the turnover of the travel sectors (-58.5%), cleaning (-15%) and hotels (-11%) fell largely during the year 2024.
The franchise remains healthy in a complicated economic context. Since 2020, the turnover of the franchise has experienced strong growth, of around 25 billion euros. The franchise represented 88.64 billion euros in global turnover in 2024 (+0.3% 2023), and 962,724 direct or indirect jobs (+1.16% 2023).
