During the two days of April 12 and 13, the Dien VI book festival was held on the street Tran Hung Dao (1st arrondissement, Ho Chi minh-ville), not only as a meeting place for young reading enthusiasts, but also as an opportunity for organizers to pursue significant trips through activities of replacement, exchange, workshop, etc.

Many young people are attracted by the programs created by the organizers of the Dien VI book festival.

Many exciting activities at the Dien VI book festival
The Dien VI Book fair is an event to create a playground for the units of old books. Since December 2024, until today, the program (with 4 main activities: reading club, consignment, exchange of books and workshops) has gone through 5 organizational periods, helping to increase love, while sharing means of protecting and preserving books … for many young people.
The Consignment Program is notably an opportunity for young people to find a “outlet” for the books they have read. Ms. Y NHI, representative of the organizing committee, said: “Some of you have a lot of books, but do not know how to manage them. To keep them clutter the house, and give them would be a shame. You can then place them at the counter; The sale of the sale will be donated to you so that you can buy new ones and acquire new knowledge. »»
In addition to Depost-Setting activities, the book exchange program also receives the attention of the organizers. Young people who come to the Dien VI book fair can return the books they have read and receive a similar number of books in return, according to the motto “Old for you, new for me”.

The book fair is an opportunity for young people to meet and exchange their experiences.

-“You may not find the books that you like, but it’s a way for us to enhance the transmission. We will donate the rest of each lot to remote areas or to libraries, “said the representative of the organizing committee.
Meanwhile, the reading club is an opportunity for people to discuss and share on how to read and feel a book … The series of workshops opens up opportunities to acquire new knowledge from experienced stakeholders, from the management of financial resources in the way of writing a good review …
Value connection and sharing
“For us, books are a value that can be transmitted. Having a value to offer is more precious than buying it to read it and put it aside. This playground is an opportunity to transmit many other values, ”explained the representative of the organizing committee.

Workshop activities are integrated into the program

In this perspective, the Dien VI book festival aims to build community libraries, build libraries, create reading clubs and sharing workshops. Ms. Y NHI added: “This knowledge is vast, books are just a way to transmit it. The important thing is that people weave links. I want to make this story known to as many people as possible. »»
However, this trip also encounters many difficulties when the number of new books benefiting from reduction programs increases. Meanwhile, the source of pouring books at the Dien VI book fair is still limited, which makes it difficult to attract “elderly people”. “But if we do not maintain this initiative, it will not guarantee continuity and young people will think about it anymore. Even if the number of people coming to buy books is low, many other activities are offered to them. The number of visitors is nevertheless up to their expectations, “said the representative of the organizing committee.
