A new international program for young publishers in Frankfurt

The Fair, the next edition of which will be held from October 15 to 19, 2025, is launching a international support Frankfurt Fellowship Network, according to a from the organization of the World Annual publishing meeting.

Strengthen professional exchanges

This system now brings together the two previous initiatives – Frankfurt Fellowship et Frankfurt Invitation Programme – under a unique banner, with the ambition of strengthening professional exchanges, continuing and global networking in the publishing sector.

Intended for professionals under the age of 40, exercising for at least three years in the fields of publishing, or license management, the program particularly aims this year the players specializing in fiction. Applicants must master and provide letters of recommendation. Applications are until May 16.

The Frankfurt Fellowship Network 2025 will be held from October 5 to 20, 2025. The route provides stages in Frankfurt and Zurich, with visits to publishing houses and bookstores, presentations, matchmaking formats and networking events. Participants will also have the opportunity to represent their business on a stand during the Frankfurter Buchmesse.

This new program benefits from logistical and financial support: travel and accommodation costs in Germany are covered by the Frankfurter Buchmesse, while Pro Helvetia finances travel, accommodation and part of the meals in .

Three other programs planned in 2025

In parallel, the Frankfurter Buchmesse continues her other support initiatives in 2025. The Special program for publishers in Ukraine and neighboring countries Returns for a third edition, in partnership with the International Book Festival, Chytomo and the Goethe-Initut Ukraine. Fifteen selected publishers will benefit from a targeted program for trade and professional meetings.

The Programme Georges-Arthur-Goldschmidtdevoted to the training of literary translators from Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria, celebrated its 25th birthday this year. The 2025 edition was held from February 5 to March 29 with stages in Berlin and Frankfurt, and will be punctuated by events in Paris (June 12), Berlin (September 12) and at the Frankfurt Book Fair (October 16).

Finally, the Paris-Frankfurt Fellowshipscheduled from June 16 to July 3, 2025, offers intensive professional training to young players in the book from France, Germany and Switzerland. The program emphasizes intercultural and linguistic skills, essential in an increasingly globalized sector.
