Hélène David-Dubrana will be in the dedication session at the Cosseron bookstore, Saturday May 10, from 10 am to 12:30 pm She will present her book “From science to art: birth of the Nfinart concept”, where she traces her passage from the scientific world to the artistic universe. An event that is particularly close to his heart: “Casteljaloux is a place that is dear to me. It was here that I exhibited for the first time in 2007, then at the tourist office. This attachment made this signing session an important moment for me. »»
Former researcher specializing in linen biotechnologies, she was able to transform her expertise into creative inspiration. Through its Nfinart concept (Natural Fiber in Art), it highlights the importance of bio -based materials (made with material from the living) in art. The artist uses natural fibers to enrich his compositions, creating contrasts and light games that recall their plant origin. Cultivated without pesticides and with very little water, these plants participate in an eco -responsible approach that the artist values. What in the past was a scientific study has become a source of artistic experiments.
A meeting
Another important moment in his career was his meeting with Jean-Claude Tardiveau, a scientist converted into art. Their exchanges have strengthened its desire to experience binders and textures such as raw and pigmented sands. Hélène David-Dubrana also discovered a new way of painting thanks to calligraphy brushes whose natural hairs allow better absorption of colors.
Beyond ecology, his works also tackle strong themes such as femininity, humanity and freedom of expression. Through her compositions, she shares her gaze on society and the place of women in the artistic and scientific worlds.
