Unusual – A gift fallen from the sky. A plane that left Brussels to go to Castellon de la Plana, north of Valence, in Spain, was confused at Limoges-Bellegarde airport, this Thursday, May 8, due to the arrival of a happy event.
In the early afternoon, during this international flight, a passenger of Spanish origin lost the waters, in the middle of other passengers, tell Here Limousin (ex-France blue) and The popular center. The pilot then decided urgently to land as quickly as possible. The nearest airport was that of Limoges and it was therefore in this city of New Aquitaine that the plane made an unexpected stopover.
Firefighters, but also “An SMUR resuscitation ambulance with incubator, an Ambulancer Smur, a doctor, a midwife and an anesthesiologist”were called at 2:15 p.m. to quickly go to the tarmac to help the future mother.
But when they arrived, the young woman had already given birth to a little girl, thanks to the help of medical staff aboard the aircraft. On the ground, firefighters and doctors took over to take the mother and the newborn to the hospital. More fear than harm, little Limougeaude and her mother are doing well!
