An emotional weekend for the U18s at the Florensac basketball club, after their stay in Spain for their first competition internationally.
“Yes, my little ones realized the unthinkable by finishing first in their championship. I am very proud of them, their journey, proud to have succeeded in creating a united team which gives us only satisfactions. Proud to have been able to get there with the help of my two assistant coaches. This victory was ours thanks to the rigor during training, their desire to win on the field and also their fighting spiritunderlines the president of the club, Elsa Guerin.
After this victory, the U18s were entitled to a beautiful and original reward, this Sunday, May 4, by participating in a mad race, the 11th edition of the Fadas Rush, organized at Domaine Saint-Jean-de-l’Arbousier in Castries.
It is an outdoor event, an adventure filled with fun and mud, where mutual aid and good humor are the watchwords, a unique moment to share joy together. A festive and offbeat obstacle race, an unforgettable day for Florensacois basketball players who had fun by exceeding an 8 km course, dotted with 30 varied obstacles, including structures to climb, muddy passages and aquatic events. Although the event is designed to be accessible to everyone, whether you are a seasoned sportsman or an amateur in search of entertainment, it is nonetheless difficult and mutual aid and conviviality have been at the heart of this adventure, where the main objective is to have fun while going beyond.
“It was a great way to weld the team even more. The obstacles were always more complicated than the other but their team spirit has not failed especially during the difficult passages. Mutual aid was still there. We are proud of them, they managed to finish this magnificent race with an even stronger spirit of cohesion which omen of a bright future”adds Elsa Guerin.
