In , a new Pinault exhibition announced for summer 2025

The last exhibition of the collection of the Breton billionaire François Pinault, at the Couvent des Jacobins in , dates back to the summer of 2023 with “Forever sixties”. Eighty works had made it possible to reconnect with the spirit of the 1960s thanks to contemporary art. An identical number of paintings, drawings, sculptures is announced, from June 2025, for the fourth major Pinault exhibition in Rennes, entitled “Eyes in the Eyes”.

Its theme: the human figure and, more specifically, the gaze that permeates the works of the Pinault collection as a whole. and its Bourse du Commerce, Venice and its Palazzo Grassi, other receptacles of the collection, will also develop this theme of the portrait.

A second exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts

”In Paris and Rennes, the representation of the human figure will take on a more political and committed dimension, while resonating with the history of art, promises the Pinault collection in a press release. The exhibition “Eyes in Eyes” speaks to us about the relationship to self-image and to the image of others, in the era of social networks.

No illustrations have been leaked yet. At the same time and in addition to this summer exhibition, the Pinault collection will lend a set of works by the painter Claire Tabouret to the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Rennes, which will simultaneously dedicate an exhibition to the artist.
