17 years after his last studio album, Manu Chao is back with the release of “Viva Tu”, in stores this September 20, 2024. For those who can’t wait, the artist has announced free listening sessions scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 and Thursday, September 19 all over the world. In Paris, the meeting is at a record store in the 11th arrondissement.
This is an album that fans are eagerly awaiting! This Friday, September 20, 2024, Manu Chao is back in stores with the release of “Long live you“. An album that has caused a lot of talk, as it is the artist’s first studio LP released since “The Radiolina” in 2007, 17 years ago.
Marked by the singles ” Long live you ” And ” Sao Paulo Motoboy “, this new opus reveals a total of 13 new songs, written in French, Spanish, Portuguese and English. Two collaborations also appear on “Long live you” : the first with Laeti on the title ” You’re Going ” and the second with the American Willie Nelsonon “ Heaven’s Bad Day “.
For the most impatient, Manu Chao announced a series of free listening sessions around this new opus, planned in the four corners of the globe. From Lima to Montreal via Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Berlin, Rome, Barcelona, London, Geneva, Zurich, Dallas and Tijuana… in total, 41 “ listening sessions » are scheduled these Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 September 2024.
In France, the cities of Rennes and Paris will have the privilege of hosting these listening sessions. In the capital, head to the record store The Silence of the Streetlocated in the 11th arrondissement (39 rue Faidherbe) to discover a preview of the new album by Manu Chao. However, we do not yet know the exact time of these listening sessions, which are therefore accessible free of charge.
