It's hard not to feel a little ordinary all of a sudden. Passing through the door of the house of the Aygo collectivea former private mansion of more than 400 m2 located in the Brussels commune of Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, diving in their universe apart is immediate. From floor to ceiling, from wall lights to shelves, from bathtub to refrigerator, everything is handmade. Adopting fanciful, dreamlike, delirious forms, which make each piece a hallucination, a dream, a trip under acid.
Ici, the beds are not rectangularthe walls are not straight, the kitchen table is not round. The faucet is a huge shower hose suspended in the air. The walls are covered in colors. The vases are made of burnt wood. The armchair, installed opposite the piano, is made of steel wire.
“None of us can live in an ordinary apartment”, summarizes Salome Sperling (born in 1998), the Frenchwoman of the group, who visits us, teaching us little by little that nothing is more precious in the world than inventing your life, andadapt your home to your desires.
