When you observe this newly restored flag with your own eyes, you will perhaps recognize the hand of the painter who created the fresco at the entrance to the theater of the People's House. Jules Kammerer, member of the La Fraternelle cooperative, is the author of this CGT banner, made in 1909, and stored until 2021 in one of the permanent exhibitions at the Maison du peuple. The flag, which was “not particularly highlighted, was in the process of deteriorating,” says Christophe Joneau, director of La Fraternelle.
