From the first step taken, an intrigue is born: photographed gazes scrutinize the visitors. At the Eye Origin gallery, located at the Polygone in each customer is offered a unique experience: photography of their iris. “Many people do not imagine the richness hidden in their eyes, whether in terms of texture, color or even the natural shapes that appear there,” explains Sofiana Rahmoun, manager of the boutique.

Indeed, the eye is often compared to a work of art in itself. Some people see flowers, stars, or even diamonds in their own irises. Far from filters and artificial effects, Eye Origin aims to be a return to the very essence of human beauty, capturing a detail that we too often forget to look at closely. “The eye is a heritage that we inherit from our parents, grandparents, sometimes even great-grandparents,” recalls Sofiana.

A growing demand for a unique work

Iris photography quickly became a phenomenon in , after initial success in Ibiza. With three galleries now present in France, Eye Origin attracts a varied clientele: families, close friends, and curious people who wish to immortalize a particular look. “Couples and duos of friends are among our most loyal customers,” says Sofiana.

The offer is vast: it is possible to choose to print one or two eyes, on various formats and varied materials, from simple photo paper to aluminum or acrylic. Prices start at 79 euros, exceed 2,000, and the works can be delivered all over the world, which makes life much easier for tourists: “Delivery allows customers to avoid carrying a bulky work in their luggage. »

The interest of Eye Origin is not limited to the simple impression of an iris. Some clients use digital files for multiple artistic creations: announcements, paintings, clocks, etc. “It’s artistic, there is a mixture of colors, textures, materials, lights,” adds Sofiana, emphasizing the customizable and versatile aspect of each image. For the more creative, it is also possible to treat yourself to prints with special effects, such as the illusion of infinity, a concept that attracts many fans. “We don’t modify the eye, we just enhance what we already see,” explains the manager.

Beauty in the detail

The popularity of this concept is probably due to its intimate nature. To immortalize an iris is to offer or treat yourself to a part of yourself, something both universal and deeply personal. As Sofiana says, “the eye is unique, and it’s a story in itself.” And for families, it is an opportunity to pass on a look from generation to generation, a sort of transgenerational journey through the color of eyes. Eye Origin offers more than just a photo. It's a true dive into the very essence of each person, a gift imbued with intimacy and emotion, which makes you forget the traditional perfume gift cards.
