Artistic crafts at the heart of design

The design celebrates a luxury that is deliberately not flashy, and even less pompous. On the contrary, with each project, Anna Covre et Frédéric Tubau de Cristo are keen to replace crafts at the epicenter of their approach, a commitment to highlighting theexcellence of Venetian know-how.

In fact, the duo of architects planned, arranged, designed and fitted out each space down to the smallest detail, harmoniously combining the Venetian influences to contemporary trends. The color palette draws its inspiration from the Serenissimawith tones of stone and white marble and its nuances of oxidized copper green, old powder pink and terracotta.

Fabrics from the Rubelli house and custom furniture rich in finishes in natural oak or walnut fully participate in the timeless and unique atmosphere reigning at Palazzo Cristo. As a reminder, the Rubelli house remains the legendary publisher of Italian fabrics having contributed to perfecting the dreamlike atmosphere of the Venice Simplon Orient-Express.

High tables, coffee tables, pedestal tables, stools, canopies or ends of beds, etc.: each element is a signature creation, like the Macaron poufs which dot the palace or Pyramid bedside lamps in brushed pine and natural Italian linen on the nightstands.

Renowned for its long tradition of mouth-blown glassware, the island of Murano is obviously in the spotlight. Anna Covre et Frédéric Tubau de Cristo drew each lamp, wall light and vase which mark out the sequels, here sublimated by this millennial craftsmanship.

Outside, the wall lights are handcrafted by the last craftsman in his lineage capable of making these lamps as rare as they are typical of the region. © Frederic Tubau de Cristo

The backlit mirrors in the lobby were designed in metalized glass and the brushed stained oak frames. In the sequels, the smart mirrors are shaped in a special glass with integrated screen.

And finally, in the private garden, the statues depicting the four seasons were carved in the 19th century in a pierre de Vicenza. In order to preserve this heritage, they have been entirely restored by specialists in this field. typical stone of the Veneto region.
