Audrey Crespo-Mara recounts the sacrifice of her parents

Indeed, in an interview given to The Sunday Tribune published this June 23,
Audrey Crespo-Mara explains that as a child she wanted to become a dancer
. An ideal that she has always refused due to her family history. “I never had the ambition to make it my job, she explained. I wasn’t good enough, unlike my mother who was never able to realize her dream. My maternal grandfather, who was a shoemaker, did not want her to become an acrobat for fear that she would not be able to make a living from it.”

She keeps an intact memory of her mother who went to work in the morning in her bank branch. “the lump in the stomach”.
“My grandfather, a pied-noir from Algeria, arrived in mainland France at the age of 16 with my grandparents who worked in the hospital. It’s the heartbreak of a life. Each in their own way, both my parents experienced the impossibility of living a dream”she observes.
