Among the last competitors were still Chimène Badi, hidden under the Leopard costume, whom Kev Adams thought he had unmasked since the start of the game. Eliminated at the gates of the final duel – at the end of which the Hippopotamus won the competition – the singer was able to reveal behind the scenes of her participation. And it hasn’t been easy. During one of her performances, Chimène Badi had to sing in a raised cage. Problem: the technicians were unable to lower the cage. A source of stress for Chimène Badi, feeling dizzy. “I said to myself: ‘Ok, Chimène, don’t start worrying…’ I know myself, I know what I am like…” In his mind, thousands of worries were tangled: “If you can’t get off the cage, and if you don’t make it, and if you fall…”

“All the dancers around me were so cute. Everyone was like, ‘Don’t worry, everything’s fine. Do you want to be held?’ The cage was moving! I wasn’t feeling very confident…”, explains Johnny Hallyday’s protégé. Finally, as the film crews prepared to hoist the singer out of the cage, the engines started working again. “Is this hazing?”, she said, laughing under her huge leopard costume. Reassured, Chimène Badi was able to come to her senses.

The bad luck did not stop there for Chimène Badi. During the final, she made a blunder which led her straight to elimination. From the first episode of the season, Kev Adams recognized the voice of the candidate of Popstars under the Leopard costume. He then triggered his Golden Prono, hoping to be right. During the finale, he set a trap for her into which she fell without asking any questions. The Leopard was chatting with Camille Combal when Kev Adams said: “Chimene!” And the singer turned around immediately… A gesture which left very little doubt about her identity.
