This is the architectural company Of course who is at the origin of this major project. It plans to build a 4,000-foot structure, or about 1,200 meters, nicknamed The Big Bendnot to be confused with “Big Ben” in London.

The Big Bend: an expanding project

In the shape of an inverted U, this tower will overlook Central Park and provide a breathtaking view of all of New York City. With this project, the architecture company hopes to push the limits of urban planning with a unique construction, even closer to the sky. Inside, there will be an elevator that can go all the way around the U-shaped building:

“The elevator can move in curves, horizontally and around turns,” Oiio says on its site.

A tower that should be 650 meters higher than One World Trade Center. As a reminder, New York City was one of the first to build extremely tall skyscrapers, notably with the famous twin towers, also called the World Trade Center, built in 1973 and destroyed during the attacks of September 11, 2001. .

For the moment, The Big Bend tower is only at the project stage and the architecture company is still looking for investors. But you will have understood, we are far from the Eiffel Tower! So to be continued…
