The holidays are approaching and registrations for the 2024 school year have started at the Malouine Academy of Plastic Arts (Amap). Among the 16 workshops for children and young people and the 25 adult workshops, places are still available in certain courses: the drawing-illustration workshop led by Philippe Keltz, design with Gaëlle Auffray and comics. “For the latter, three professional authors introduce young people to multiple techniques”, specifies the director, Ollivier Leboucher. A few places are also available in digital art with Damien Viel and in drawing with Emmanuelle Houssel.

The open days, organized from June 17 to 28, 2024, offer the opportunity to visit the premises and meet the establishment’s eight teachers. “For the next school year, the partnership with Moka college will make it possible to open classes at flexible times,” says Ollivier Leboucher. Two classes of fifteen students will have classes at Amap on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. “for a technical approach to drawing and painting, without prerequisites but for very motivated young people”.

Workshops in Jersey

Another novelty in the context of priority districts such as Découverte, Poitou, and Espérance, two groups of ten young people will experiment with digital tools on the theme of Saint-Malo heritage. “A cultural approach to heritage combined with artistic work. Registration for this workshop is based on the voluntary participation of young people”, explains the director. Neighborhood centers, the youth center and schools can guide young people.

Finally, Amap will export its work to the Channel Islands: “ Two teachers will teach middle and high school students in Jersey. Jersey artists will also come to our establishment,” specifies the director.

Until June 28, 2024, open house, 7, rue de Bonneville.
