An end of the world at the end of the world, with photographer Richard Pak

An Island of Desire, today in the Book Club. Perhaps you have already heard of Tristan Da Cunha, a volcanic confetti 100 square kilometers in area, 13 kilometers wide, British territory in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean. This land and its history are at the heart of a book where photos and texts come together. Fascinating and strange beauty. Decline of greens, remains of political utopia and threat of depopulation. Richard Pak photographed its nature and its inhabitants and he is our guest for his book At Firms published by Atelier EXB.

The listener's question

Claire @air_de_midi's question for the attention of Richard Pak : “I had a lot of pleasure reading your texts, and you took us to this island with great respect and modesty. We are touched and challenged by the reality and way of life of these inhabitants. How did they receive your project, and how are they receiving it today when it is completed?”

The great game of musical pages
