October 22, 2024 marks a new step for IPLNFrench specialist in photo and video equipment, with the opening of its Parisian boutique at 3 rue Lucien Sampaix, in the 10th arrondissement. Already firmly established in IPLN continues its expansion with the objective of strengthening its national presence and get closer to its Parisian customersalready loyal thanks to its online store IPLN.fr and social networks.

A family story and a national ambition

IPLN is above all a family history which dates back to 1937. For four generations, the Student family has been able to develop the company while maintaining its spirit of proximity and sharing. HAS Lyonthe historic store has become a unmissable place for enthusiastsand today, it is in the heart of that this unique experience is offered.

“This is the logical next step in the development of IPLN. Thanks to IPLN.fr and our community on social networks (more than 60K), we interact with photo and video lovers throughout ” explains Douglas Studient, general director of IPLN. “Opening in Paris also means getting closer to a Parisian clientele already strongly present online and affirming our desire to make IPLN a national player in stores as well”.

A modern and elegant boutique

Formerly a Ricoh store, this new Parisian space of 140 m² has been completely redesigned and renovated to offer a modern setting et warmwith noble materials, notably wood, bringing a touch that is both aesthetic and welcoming.

The objective? “Create a space where modernity and elegance meet, capable of addressing both experienced professionals and beginners wanting to get started in photography or video,” explains Rony Studient, retail director.

The store will offer a very wide range of products from the biggest manufacturers such as Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Fujifilm, DJI, Hasselblad and Ricoh, as well as many accessories.

In addition to its comprehensive offering, IPLN Paris includes a “Back IPLN” space dedicated to the recovery of used equipment. Customers will thus be able to have their old equipment evaluated and resold in order to finance the purchase of newer equipment or better suited to your needs. Used equipment, revised and guaranteed for 1 year, will also be available in store.

A meeting space and unique experiences

The new Parisian store does not just sell equipment: it was designed as a real place to meet and share.

A dedicated space will make it possible to regularly accommodate workshops, masterclasses and creative eventshosted by renowned photographers, videographers and content creators. An opportunity to discover, learn and discuss your passion. Moreover, IPLN will take full advantage of its presence in Paris to organize workshops in exceptional places.

“Photo and video equipment is becoming more and more expensive, and I think that we must provide unique experiences to our customers, for example a test of the Sony A9 III at the Tony Parker Academy in Lyon or even a workshop on floating hides in the Dombe,” explains Dylan Studient, sales director.

“We are convinced that there is nothing better than getting to grips with and testing the products under conditions to form your own opinion,” he explains.

A new dimension for the sale of photo equipment

This opening is also part of a strategy aimed at modernize and boost the sale of photo equipmentparticularly targeting the segment of prosumers and videographers. Unlike specialized brands considered too professional, or others perceived as too general, IPLN positions itself as the preferred choice of content creators thanks to its family history and its commitment to enthusiasts.

Asked about its sales strategy, IPLN explains to us that it is “convinced that physical stores still have a long life to the extent that we are able to provide not only the same advantages as online (stock, competitive price), but also and above all the possibility of take charge of the products while discussing with advisors driven by the same passion.”
