Since 2013, the Niépce museum has held the exceptional collection of photographs of the FNAC, these photographs were presented in the galleries of the brand’s stores during the years 1978 to 2005. On the occasion of its 70th anniversary, the FNAC wanted to highlight this collection. The museum was in an uproar, it was necessary to extract the photographs selected from the 1,800 preserved, review the frames, the master keys, scan in high definition, etc. The teams once again showed their know-how.
The 130 photographs presented, selected by the artistic director of the “Salon de la Photo” Simon Edwards, enthuse the public. A moving journey through photographs, most of which have become iconic.
The Nicéphore Niépce museum has had the privilege of being able to set up a space allowing it to present the richness of its collections and its programming. The staff is mobilizing this weekend to introduce our museum to the Parisian public.
A book “Regards” published by Editions Gallimard extends this celebration, 250 photographs selected by Quentin Bajac to evoke “A century of photography, from Brassaï to Martin Parr” accompanied by numerous texts, including that of Sylvain Besson, director of the collections of the Nicéphore Niépce museum .
