Amateur photographer, Yannick Legodec immortalized the sublime colors above Vic-en-Bigorre on the night of Monday to Tuesday, as he left his post at the factory.

Accustomed to polar expeditions in the footsteps of these phenomena, Yannick Legodec is now accustomed to marveling at the Northern Lights above his Val d’Adour.

Once again, the sky lit up above Vic-en-Bigorre, in the lens of Yannick Legodec.

On his Facebook page “Chronicles of an image hunter”, this resident of Vic-en-Bigorre is almost amused by such a marvelous setting, on this Tuesday, October 8. “We can say that there are mornings that sing more than others… It’s still the height when you finish work at dawn” smiles this amateur photographer, rewarded for his photos, and who works in a factory aeronautics of Béarn. And to continue: “There was another crazy activity this late night. These photos were taken three-quarters of an hour before sunrise, on the way home from work.”

Again, because this is not the first time that Yannick Legodec has captured the Northern Lights in the sky at latitudes where we did not really expect them. Thus, this amateur photographer from the Hautes-Pyrénées had to pinch himself on the evening of Sunday November 6 when the sky of the Val d’Adour above him caught fire. “Something crazy. I thought I was hallucinating” he explained to us then. Again in May, this time above Bagnères where he had risen to capture this previously announced phenomenon.
