On the evening of Wednesday, May 8, there were so many crowds at the Old Port who came to witness the arrival of Belem and the Olympic flame that the highlight of the show narrowly missed being canceled. Fortunately, after a minor crowd movement and a 45-minute delay, the exceptional concert by Marseille rappers Soprano and Alonzo was able to be maintained. To the delight of some 400,000 people gathered in the Marseille city (compared to 150,000 announced).
Alonzo was the first to ignite an already excited audience with the tunes of “Papa allo”, “Santana” and “Comme d’hab”. And after meeting his fans on July 19, 2025 for his “first concert at the Vélodrome stadium”, the Marseille rapper handed his microphone to his friend Soprano, who finished setting the Marseille city ablaze. And it was obviously on the song “En feu” that the gem from the northern districts made his entrance on stage, flanked by five dancers.
