Prince Archie, the surprise star of Harry and Meghan’s trip to Nigeria?

The eldest son of Prince Harry and Meghan celebrates his fifth birthday this Monday, May 6, 2024. Preserving him from any public life, his parents could well repeat the same “coup” as in 2019 when they took the pretext of an official trip to South Africa to finally present the divine child to the rest of the world…

And if ? Yes, what if Archie from Sussex, whose fifth birthday we celebrate on May 6, became in a few days the pole of attraction – long awaited – for a preparatory trip to Nigeria. A country to which Harry and Meghan, his parents, plan to visit shortly in order to prepare for future editions of the Invictus Games. The country would indeed like to host the sporting competition in the coming years.

In delicacy, with little support from the media (Meghan’s influencer version site does not yet arouse the expected interest, let’s admit it), the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would indeed have a good card to play by including their eldest son in this new charitable adventure. Because there is an opportunity to be seized in the absence of massive communication from the other leading British duo: Kate and William, due to the worrying health of the Princess of Wales.

By involving Archie in this official trip, Prince Harry and his wife could restore some luster to their image and send strong and symbolic signals. Isn’t Africa the breeding ground of their common history? Isn’t it on this continent that the couple built the solid foundations in the early days of their romance? Isn’t that where they wanted in September 2019, during an official visit, to finally present their first born to the rest of the world, and primarily to Mgr Desmond Tutu?

Soon to attend Cold Spring School?

Taking him with them this time would put an end to any discussion about the fact that the Sussexes preserve the anonymity of their children at all costs. They would master this right to communicate… while skillfully ensuring attractive publicity. And then taking the little boy to an event that is so close to Harry’s heart would be just adorable. Because the prince could thus quietly reveal to his son the behind the scenes of an event in which he flourishes and feels free. A competition he created. Alone.

Finally, being with Archie would give a little food for thought about this toddler about whom we know nothing. Or almost. A child who is preparing to experience a big stage after the summer, that of starting school. Because without a doubt, Meghan and Harry will skip the services of a tutor, preferring the diversity of a kindergarten. Moreover, one of their neighbors, interviewed by our American colleagues from Hello ! understands that the couple may choose an establishment in the hills of Montecito, California, where the family lives. “We have some very good schools, which are not like the public schools in England, but they are public schools. And we have a very good one, called Cold Spring School, which has got excellent marks and is located in their frequentation area.” A little more patience, September is not that far away….
