Béatrice Dalle swings at certain actresses: “Don’t come and cry…”

Béatrice Dalle is famous for her outspokenness. Guest of Clique TV, she gave her honest opinion on certain actresses who defend #MeToo. And his opinion could shock more than one…

Béatrice Dalle has long shone in cinema with the legendary 37°2 in the morning by Jean-Jacques Beineix, A Woman’s Revenge by Jacques Doillon or, Bye Bye Blondie by Virginie Despentes. If the big screen offers her fewer roles, it is in the theater that she has shined for several years. She is on the stage of Gaïté Lyrique in May for Troubles where Joey Starr’s ex will declaim queer texts, poetry, activist or philosophical essays. It’s a role that fits like a glove to this lively soul who doesn’t like lukewarm characters.

At the moment, #MeToo is shaking up the cinema industry in the wake of Judith Godrèche’s revelations. The actress, who is known for her outspokenness, has her opinion on the matter and it is not everyone’s.

Béatrice Dalle met Harvey Weinstein: “A potato in his mouth”

Béatrice Dalle recently gave her opinion on the fallen Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, accused of sexual abuse against numerous actresses. The actress met the 72-year-old producer currently incarcerated in the United States – after being sentenced in 2020 – several times without her having the slightest problem with him. “If he had behaved badly for a single moment, it would be a potato in his mouth with his 83 Oscars“, she asserts in Clique TV.

But she does not underestimate the fear that this type of predator can arouse in a woman. “A woman who is really afraid of losing her job, a mother, can accept things that she does not dare to speak about (…). The guy is so powerful, there is also a kind of hyper tendentious relationship that we don’t want to get burned with him“, she admits.

Béatrice Dalle: what she denounces in the #MeToo movement

Béatrice Dalle admits to being on the side of women and understands the majority of them who are in a state of astonishment. On the other hand, Virginie Despentes’ friend believes that some would have ridden the wave without being real victims. “I know one, in particular, who was a friend of mine, you say to yourself: ‘Are you the one who started a movement like that? You forget things.’ I don’t want to respect those who behave badly who have taken sides with this movement. Afterwards you want to have a useful kiss, there is no problem. It’s your life, but afterward don’t come crying“. Once again, the actress is not afraid to say what she thinks at the risk of shocking.

Note that a commission of inquiry into sexual violence in the cinema sector was opened after a unanimous vote by deputies regarding its creation. Its aim will be to study the abuse and violence suffered by children and adults in the cultural sector.
