“Go home”: Robert de Niro loses his temper against pro-Palestinian demonstrators

On Tuesday, actor Robert De Niro was filmed confronting a group of pro-Palestinian protesters on the set of his new film “Zero Day” in Manhattan, New York.

A video of the incident was posted on Twitter and shows Robert De Niro shouting to the crowd: “What happened in Israel on October 7 was not a movie. It’s real.” “And if you continue to talk nonsense, then go home,” he continued in a firm tone. Referring to Hamas, the Italian-American director concludes: “They say they’re going to do it again! Once again! You don’t want that. None of us want that.”

The Oscar winner is known for his long-standing support of Israel. He maintained friendships with former Israeli officials, including Defense Minister Moshe Dayan and President Ezer Weizman.

During one of his visits to the country, he said: “I always like coming to Israel. Israelis are warm, energetic people. Franks. Very intelligent. I always like smart people. They’re nice people, you know. They are aggressive sometimes and I respect that aggressiveness because you need it in their situation.”
