A painter since her youth, a decisive encounter concretely steered Agnès Charve towards this path. After training as a decorative painter in in 2000, she opened two studios in Ariège (in Seix and Mas-d’Azil) and participated in numerous exhibitions in , , Seix and recently in Carla-Bayle. Today, she continues to pass on her passion by giving painting lessons, while pursuing her own artistic commitment, which is vital to her. Because, Agnès Charve, self-taught, is an artist deeply inspired by nature, which constitutes both her living environment and the main source of her creation. The light, subtle and changing, is the common thread, awakening in her the desire to paint. Settled in Ariège, in the heart of a wild environment, she captures through her works the vastness of the skies or the delicacy of the branches, thus translating all the emotion that these visions give her. Her approach is marked by an economy of means, using raw materials such as linen, which she sometimes sews herself to enrich her compositions. It is in this simplicity that she pays homage to the earth that carries us, while seeking to convey a softness and suspended time, rare in our daily lives. It is this artist with a singular sensitivity that the Maison de la Citoyenneté offers its walls from September 25 to October 14. Note that an opening of the Agnès Charve exhibition is planned for Friday, October 4, at 5:30 p.m., at the Maison de la Citoyenneté.
