It’s almost an earthquake in the French audiovisual landscape: Cyril Féraud is handing in his apron as host of the game “Slam” on 3, 16 years of good and loyal service. But it’s to take back control of another equally legendary game, on France 2, this time.

Hyperactive, Cyril Féraud does not leave “Slam” to twiddle his thumbs.

With his bright smile, his humor and his kindness, Cyril Féraud is one of the most popular hosts on French television.

Hyperactive, he has presented the game “Slam” for 16 years on France 3, but we have also seen him at the helm of “100% Logic”, “Le Quiz des champions”, “Duels en famille – Le match des Régions” or again “The Floor, conquering the ground”, and the list is not exhaustive.

His departure from “Slam” therefore constitutes a small event, announced by our colleagues from “Parisien”. But if the host made this decision, it is to join another game: he will take the reins of “Everyone wants to take their place” on France 2.

Hosted by Nagui for many years, this general knowledge game was then piloted by Laurence Boccolini, then by the comedian Jarry, who decided to throw in the towel at the end of his only season as presenter.

“I did not expect that”

“I’m a little stressed…”, confides Cyril Féraud to “Parisien”, referring to this important change to come. The host would not have seen the proposal coming: “I didn’t expect it,” he notes, before revealing: “It’s a real alignment of the planets (…) I quickly knew that I really wanted it because I like new adventures and this one is particularly beautiful.

The one who also plays “Cyril Gossbo” in “Fort Boyard” – a show of which he has been a fan since he was little and which made him want to do television – also talks about the future of “Slam”.

Let the fans rest assured: “The game will continue, with someone else. After sixteen years and more than 5,000 broadcasts, a huge page is about to be turned and I am already moved, just to mention it…” confides Cyril Féraud.

For the moment, no one knows who will replace him at the head of this entertainment dear to cruciverbists.
