. A new FIFA technical center for 2026

The objective of this initiative is to strengthen the base of Ivorian , by providing practitioners and trainers with a modern and adapted framework both for the training of talents and for the organization of competitions.

According to the president of the Ivorian Football Federation, Yacine Idriss Diallo, this project, which will cost nearly 3.96 million euros, is considered an essential tool for the development of elite youth football.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, via videoconference, expressed on behalf of FIFA his pride in supporting this project which “testifies to the constant commitment of the governing body of world football to support the construction modern infrastructure which is essential to professionalize football and train a new generation of talents.

“When the renovation is completed, it will not simply be a technical football center but will become a true symbol of hope and opportunities, a springboard for young players, coaches and enthusiasts who will carry high the colors of the Côte d’Ivoire. “Ivory and all of Africa during international competitions,” he continued.

For his part, the Minister Delegate for Sports and Living Environment, Adjé Silas Metch indicated that this project which benefits from the global and continental football umbrella organizations, in particular FIFA and CAF, will provide a practical response to the thorny problem of development of local football.

The renovation work will include, among other things, the rehabilitation and modernization of old existing buildings as well as the construction of six new buildings adapted to the current needs of high-level football, including an accommodation building, a training space, a medical center and a Gym.

The inauguration of the center is scheduled to take place in March 2026.
