The gastronomic guide TasteAtlas has published its ranking of the 100 worst dishes in the world, established based on the vote of Internet users. Five Swiss specialties appear there. The rating is indicated in parentheses.
This dish is an invention of the Tre Kronor restaurant in the Swedish town of Skellefteå. It consists of a calzone pizza topped with a hamburger (bread, toppings and sauce included) and fries.
High in calories, this creation was originally intended for partygoers who had difficulty deciding between a pizza and a hamburger after a night of drinking.
Bocadillo de sardinas is a simple slice of baguette topped with canned sardines. It is also possible to use another bread: ciabatta or whole grain bread.
-The bread is cut lengthwise before being garnished with sardines in oil, tomato sauce or vinegar. It is possible to add other ingredients (peppers, tomatoes, coriander, onions, olives, grilled vegetables). Mayonnaise, mustard, yogurt sauce or olive oil are added.
Veripalttu (bloodthirsty) is a Finnish dish that exists in other Nordic countries. In Sweden it is called blodpalt and asins pankūkas, in Latvia. It is composed of dumplings made with rye or barley flour and reindeer blood. Today there are many regional variations of this dish, for which it is possible to use the blood of other animals, other spices and, if necessary, mashed potatoes. The meatballs are sometimes stuffed with fried onions and bacon, then cooked in a spicy meat broth.
