Created in partnership with the Ethiopian Airlines company, this new company will strengthen air transport and boost the country’s economic growth, according to the Congolese government.
The launch of “Air Congo” marks a new era in the transport sector in the DRC, declared on this occasion the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Transport, Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo.
“Air Congo” will strengthen mobility and allow Congolese to travel “in complete peace of mind” throughout the DRC and outside the country, he added, specifying that it carries an ambitious socio-economic project. economic aimed at developing local skills and creating jobs in the field of aeronautics.

Air Congo is the result of a partnership between the DRC and Ethiopian Airlines, the leader in air transport in Africa. The shares of the two shareholders are 51% for the DRC and 49% for Ethiopian Airlines.
This partnership aims to provide the DRC with an airline capable of meeting domestic and international air transport needs, while benefiting from the expertise of Ethiopian Airlines, one of the leaders in the sector in Africa.
