“For many years, Kimberly has been a close friend and ally,” the president-elect wrote on his Truth Social network.
“Her extensive experience and leadership in law, media, and politics, as well as her keen intelligence, make her highly qualified to represent the United States and safeguard its interests abroad,” added the Republican, who will take over the leadership of the United States on January 20.
According to CNN and several tabloids, the couple formed by Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle recently separated.
Kimberly Guilfoyle, former head of financing Donald Trump’s campaign in 2020, was also a prosecutor in San Francisco.

The president-elect also designated Ronald Johnson as ambassador to Mexico on Tuesday.
