Several members of the future administration of Donald Trump have been victims of threats, including numerous bomb threats, the FBI, the American federal police, said on Wednesday, November 27.
President-elect Karoline Leavitt's spokesperson denounced attacks “anti-American”.
Several threats
Former parliamentarian Lee Zeldin, chosen by Donald Trump to head the Environmental Protection Agency, said he was targeted Wednesday with his family by “a bomb threat” accompanied by a “pro-Palestinian themed message”. « Neither my family nor I were at home at the time and we are safe”he added on X.
Elise Stefanik, appointed by Donald Trump to be American ambassador to the UN, said in a statement that she had also been “warned of a bomb threat at (her) home”.

« Swatting »
The FBI confirmed that it “knowledge of numerous bomb threats and swatting incidents targeting people expected to join the next administration”.
The « swatting » is a practice which consists of provoking police raids on victims under the pretext that a crime is taking place there. « We take all potential threats seriously”continued the FBI.

Informed of the situation, outgoing President Joe Biden condemned “unequivocally the threats of political violence”according to a White House press release.
