The Roman Catholic churches of Sainte-Clotilde in La Jonction and Sacré-Cœur in Plainpalais and the Armenian church in Troinex will be adorned in red for RedWeek, from November 15 to 24. The international action, launched by the pontifical foundation Aid to the Church in Need, aims to draw attention to the fact that 350 million Christians are persecuted, discriminated against or prevented from practicing their faith freely throughout the world. .
Free practice of religion is restricted or prevented in about 62 states, or a third of the countries, where 5.2 billion people live, representing two-thirds of the world’s population, according to the World Religious Freedom Report , published by Aid to the Church in Need. The foundation finances more than 5,000 projects in around 130 countries each year.

Friday, November 15, 2024, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: prayer time with Father Ivan Tolic, Saint Apostle Andre Protoklite parish, Serbian Orthodox Church in Geneva, and Father Miguel Dalla Vecchia, parish priest of Sainte-Clotilde, followed by an information session on the situation of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Saturday, November 16, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Mass and time of prayer with Father Albert Kousbe, Burkinabé priest, and Father Miguel Dalla Vecchia, parish priest of Sainte-Clotilde, followed by a session of information on the situation of the Burkinabé Church.
