LThe officers found the torch and the alarm pistol during a check, leading to the immediate arrest of the person concerned. The man had with him a 25-page manifesto that he planned to submit to Congress, according to a Fox journalist. According to the latter, the manifesto contained “anti-government and anti-Israeli statements”.
The individual, a white man in his twenties from the state of Michigan, allegedly acted alone. He would also not appear on the lists of suspicious persons available to the Capitol Police.
