American presidential election: the Hispanic community, one of the keys to the elections

The US presidential elections are fast approaching. Only 16 days left until we know who Donald Trump or Kamala Harris will be at the head of the country. In this race for votes, the Hispanic community can tip the scales one way or the other.

Beyond the immense arid expanses of Arizona in the United States remains a political issue. In this state on the border with Mexico, the Hispanic population will play a major role during the US presidential elections which will take place in 16 days. In the city of Phoenix, it is Kamala Harris who seems to have a head start. “I am more for Kamala (Harris), she will help for the rights of migrants” declares a resident. For others, it is the right to abortion that would give the advantage to Donald Trump’s competitor.

For the Republican camp, there is no question of giving up ground. Free buffet, relaxed atmosphere and small gifts, this is what the organizer has bet on in order to attract potential voters. Its strategy: emphasize traditional values and the economy, which are two priorities of the Hispanic community. “You must vote with your wallet and your heart” says Lori Martinez, president of the National Hispanic Assembly of Arizona Republicans. Far from being a single bloc, the Hispanic community appears to be as divided as the rest of the country.
