Brussels: A poster campaign to demand the abolition of the European agency Frontex

The images broadcast notably show posters on which is written “Let’s abolish Frontex. End to the EU border regime. More than 40,555 people killed by Fortress Europe”. Other posters, accusing that “the EU has blood on its hands”, were also accompanied by the message painted in white “Frontex kills”, according to the photos communicated.

“For us, this agency is the symbol of the failure of European migration policies,” comments a participant in the action and member of the Ades network in the communication.

Activists demand the abolition of the Frontex agency, an end to militarization and border surveillance and “the deadly hunt for people in exile”. They demand that “freedom of movement, the right to asylum and the security of people in migration” be guaranteed.

They also demand an end to the confinement of undocumented people, closed centers as well as forced deportations to countries of origin, details the press release.

Frontex will soon enter into missions in airports, ports, and the Gare du Midi, “this shows the difficulty of hiring police officers”
